The Oak Tree and the Girl ~ Chapter One ~

One day a little girl and her family moved into a new house in a new town. Their front yard had a big and beautiful oak tree; the girl fell in love with it at first sight. Everyday after school, the girl would climb up onto the oak tree and talk to it. The tree talked back to her, but only she could hear the tree.

That summer she had no camps to go to, so all day long the tree would talk to her. As the girl got up each summer morning she wondered, what would the oak would tell her today?

"Hi, how are you" said the girl.
"I'm good," said the oak tree,"Sit down, and I will tell you a story."
"When I was a little tree there was a huge storm one night. It was the biggest I have ever been in."
"Wow," commented the girl, " that must have been a big storm."
"Yes. Hundreds of trees got blown over, so for a while there were not many trees in the town," said the oak.

And so, the days shared by the girl and the tree went on like that.

Japanese Garden

I was all alone I could hear the sound of laughing children moving away from the spot I was sitting. Still it was calming to know I not alone. A bird began to sing a soft and lovely tune.
My heart began to beat slower and slower. Suddenly, I heard the sound of the whistle that meant it was time to move on.
As I walked out of the Japanese Garden I thought how nature can take you away and put you into a new and wonderful place.

In The Beginning

Welcome to my new adventure.
Not exactly wandering through the woods following tracks in the snow, or marking another player on the soccer field, or counting the gates on a giant slalom course, but a "cyber" adventure that I hope to share with my friends.
I've always dreamed of being a writer, and here is my chance!
Please visit my blog posts and let me know how my ideas make you feel and think.
More to come soon....I promise!
